Covid-struck mountain bike coaching business is cranking back up

She’s a mountain bike certified coach and her business card, which probably hasn’t had wide distribution yet, also identifies Paula Pietersma as a mountain biking addict.
Perhaps she needs to be, because just as Pietersma’s coaching service was starting to wind up — after months of preparation and gaining compliance — Covid-19 lockdown meant she had to hit the brakes.
She didn’t go sailing over the handlebars but it did bring her up short.
“Last year I decided to bite the bullet and set something up,” Pietersma said.
