Session One – Trauma Reception: Communication between teams, Code Red/T30 – trauma call advancement and Trauma call simulation
Session Two – Groups at Risk: TBI outcome study, Frailty and risk assessment in older adult trauma patients (focus on trauma)
Session Three – Clinical updates: Midland Trauma quiz, Management of severe chest injury (rib plating/new chest injury pathway), pain management in trauma patients who use alcohol, marijuana and methamphetamine, Contemporary management of blunt abdominal injuries in paediatrics (diagnosis/treatment/imaging)
Session Four – Mass casualty communication: Perspectives from Queensland, Christchurch and Whakaari Island
