Cherry Campbell has been the Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS) at Lakes DHB in Rotorua for six years.

She trained in Auckland and worked at Greenlane Hospital and Auckland Hospital in ENT and day theatres before becoming a Nursing Lecturer at AUT University. She moved to Rotorua to become a Senior Lecturer in Nursing at Waiariki Institute of Technology as well as the Coordinator of the Bachelor of Nursing before returning to a clinical role as TNS at Lakes DHB.

She also works for the Nursing Council of New Zealand as an auditor of nursing education programs such as Competency Assessment and Nursing Entry To Practice Programs, Bachelor and Master degrees.

She has achieved a BSc (Waikato), MHSc (Nursing Ed) degrees and Certificate of Adult Teaching.
