Katrina is an Australian who came to New Zealand with her husband and children 14 years ago.
She is a registered nurse with almost 30 years experience working across 3 countries in a variety of geographical locations, hospitals and outback clinics.
Her nursing background is ICU and ED.
Her particular passion has always been trauma and therefore landed her dream role 5 years ago when she became Clinical Nurse Specialist for the Trauma Service at BOPDHB.
She is embarking on her PhD in a trauma related topic.
Her goal for the next few years is to continue to work collaboratively with key stakeholders in the BOP community to drive local injury prevention initiatives.
